What is the Federation of Children’s Book Groups?


The Federation of Children’s Book Groups is a national voluntary organisation.

 Its aims are to promote enjoyment and interest in children’s books and reading,

and to encourage the availability of a variety of literature for all ages, from

pre-school to teenage.


The Federation provides a meeting point for parents, professionals authors,

illustrators, publishers, librarians and everyone who shares its aims.


The Federation organises three National Projects each year.

       The Federation of Children’s Book Groups’ Annual Conference

       held in a different city each year.

       National Share-a-Story Month.

       The Red House Children’s book Award.
